OUTFIT DETAILS

First things first, my outfit is all on sale! I recently went to old navy, and found that they were having a huge sale on pretty much everything. I took advantage of this sale for their athletic wear because I was in desperate need of some new athleisure, and because every piece was so cheap! I grabbed these Moto style leggings and love the way they hold everything in place. I also am obsessed with my athletic top… can you guess why? If you guessed that I love it because of  the wrap style, you are right! I enjoy adding new pieces to my wardrobe that are classic, but have a little texture or wrap like this one. Little touches like these definitely make it pop! Go check out these great sales, and let me know what goodies you find!

Moving on, I wanted to put together a post that talks about how I maintain a healthy lifestyle while working from home after seeing that a lot of you ladies are stay at home moms, bloggers, students, or work from home! If you do not know, I am a fashion stylist at Stitch Fix, and I do all of my work remotely from wherever I am. When I first started Stitch Fix about a year ago, I noticed that it was hard at first to stay healthy while having a lot of extra time to do whatever I wanted. After I finished working for the day, I tended to take mid day naps, go out and grab lunch, and overall become super lazy. Once these habits were created, I started feeling sluggish daily and honestly just very unhealthy. I knew that I needed to figure out a new way of living, but did not want it to be a “fad” that I started and ended within months. I needed a new healthy lifestyle! So, what I found that worked the best for me was making small changes to my daily routine and seeing how they impacted my day. Listed below are my favorite small changes with huge positive impacts that I have made and stuck with. If you are in the same unhealthy place I was, try a few of these and see what they do for you! Let me know in the comments your results also!

HEALTHY LIFESTYLE CHANGES

1. Wake up early: Alright, If I’m being honest, I am still trying HARD to work at this one! I love my sleep, and it is just naturally hard for me to wake up early especially if I don’t have anywhere specific to be. Whenever I force myself to wake up around 8 though, I start to have more energy through the day and end up being so much more productive.

2. Exercise: So, what I have found with exercise is that it doesn’t really matter what you do but that you just get out of the house and move around! I personally enjoy evening walks with Konnor and the puppies on our local trail. Its peaceful, and gets my heart rate up which is perfect for longer lasting energy that I have found. If walking is not your thing, just go outside and do some sort of activity to get your body moving. It really makes a big impact in your mood, energy, and overall health!

3. Take Breaks: With any stay at home job, it is essential that you take breaks to relax and recharge. Hustling is great, but burnout is not! Taking a few breaks during your shift, studying, or even when your baby is napping impacts positive work for the rest of the day to make it till bedtime with your sanity still intact. Lol!

4. Get to Scheduling: Scheduling your days out can also be really beneficial for a healthy lifestyle because you do not have to spend your day thinking “What do I do now?” What I have learned from this personally, is if I get in the mindset of not knowing what to do next, I end up becoming lazy and falling back into my mid day naps. Im not saying mid day naps are bad, but in the case of having lots to do and becoming lazy instead of productive does not personally work for me.

5. Cook Dinner: This one is also something I am working harder at becoming more consistent with. I really do love cooking, and  found that it is very stimulating. If your spouse likes to cook too, it can be a great way to spend time together and connect with them at the end of the day!

As I adapt new healthy lifestyle changes into my daily routine, I will add them here!

Thank you for stopping by, and have a great rest of the week!
